Inspired by a recipe I saw from foodwithbearhands.com — and it was killer. The entire family loved it. I changed it up slightly, but the flavors are spot on. Restaurant-level comfort food made right at home.
STEAK BITES
Ingredients
2 ribeye steaks (or chuck roast to save money, or filets if you’re feeling fancy)
4 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
2 Tbsp olive oil
CHIMICHURRI SAUCE
Ingredients
1 bunch fresh parsley, finely minced
1 bunch fresh cilantro, finely minced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 shallot, finely minced
½ red bell pepper, finely minced
1 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 Tbsp paprika
1 cup olive oil
4 Tbsp red wine vinegar
Juice of 1 lemon
GARLIC YUKON GOLD MASHES TATERS
Ingredients
3 lb bag Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and diced
1 stick (½ cup) salted butter
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 whole head of garlic, roasted
4 Tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
BLISTERED GREED BEANS
Ingredients
Fresh green beans, trimmed
Olive oil
Montreal Steak Seasoning
STEAK BITES
Instructions
Cut steak into 1x1-inch cubes.
Season generously with Montreal Steak Seasoning.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear steak bites for about 1 minute per side, until nicely browned. (Medium-rare is recommended for the best texture and flavor.)
Remove from heat and let rest.
CHIMICHURRI SAUCE
Instructions
Mince all fresh ingredients very fine.
Add to a bowl with remaining ingredients.
Mix well and adjust seasoning to taste.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
GARLIC YUKON GOLD MASHES TATERS
Instructions
Wrap the whole head of garlic in foil and roast at 375°F for 30 minutes, until soft.
Boil diced Yukon gold potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes, until fork-tender. Drain well.
While potatoes are hot, gently warm the butter and heavy whipping cream together until melted (do not boil).
Mash the potatoes, then squeeze the roasted garlic cloves directly into the pot.
Pour the warm butter and cream mixture over the potatoes.
Add Montreal Steak Seasoning and mix until smooth and creamy.
BLISTERED GREED BEANS
Instructions
Heat a skillet over high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
Add green beans in a single layer.
Cook undisturbed until blistered and lightly charred.
Season with Montreal Steak Seasoning
TO SERVE
Spoon creamy Yukon gold mashed potatoes onto a plate, top with steak bites, and drizzle generously with chimichurri. Serve blistered green beans on the side and enjoy 😮💨
