Peas & Mushrooms

Side Dish

Peas & Mushrooms is a traditional dish we have served in my family since I was a little girl. I've always loved this recipe. And the best part? It's soooo easy, but loaded with flavor.

Ingredients

3 cans of Le Seuer Very Young Small Sweet Peas, drained

1 can sliced mushrooms, drained (canned is better than fresh for this dish)

1/2 stick of butter

1 small sweet onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup white wine

pinch of salt

fresh cracked black pepper to taste

Directions

Heat a large pan on medium-high heat. Add butter to pan and melt.

Add diced onion and saute until they start to turn translucent. Add garlic and continue to saute. Careful not to burn the garlic.

Add mushrooms and saute with the butter, onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes.

Add white wine and saute for another minute.

Add peas and toss together until peas are warmed though.

Finish with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.
